I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Leuven. I am also a Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR).
My research interests are in industrial organization, health economics, public economics and economic history. Specifically, I am mainly interested in the performance, design and regulation of health care markets. I am currently investigating the demand and supply effects of inertia of consumers. I have also worked on understanding the effects on firms and consumers of different aspects of contractual forms, such as different risks sharing schemes or length of contracts.
